Hey everyone! The Delhi Government’s Forests and Wildlife Department is looking for interns! If you’re into nature, or wildlife, or just want to know how this department ticks, this is your chance.
Internship Time: The gig lasts up to 90 days, depending on what you’re doing. They might let you stay longer if you’re really rocking it.
Who Can Apply?
- Gotta be at least 18 years old.
- You can be from any school, college, or uni.
- They’re cool with different educational backgrounds, depending on what area you want to dive into.
Areas You Can Work In:
- Saving the Delhi Ridge.
- Managing forests.
- Planning and keeping an eye on projects.
- Protecting forests and their goodies.
- Looking after wildlife.
- Getting training.
- Digging into policy and legal stuff.

How to Throw Your Hat in the Ring: Apply online on their website, like at least three months before you want to start. Tell them when you wanna join and what you’re into.
Choosing the Cool Cats: A team will check out your application based on what you’re good at. Extra points if you’ve got fresh ideas that fit what they need.
Rules of the Game:
- Each mentor can take up to 10 interns.
- You’ll need to write up what you did.
- They might ask you to join in on other stuff.
- Whatever you make or find out stays with them.
- You gotta follow their rules.
Perks:
- They’ll hook you up with stuff like rides and printing your research.
- Finish well, and you get a certificate with a grade.

Application Steps:
- Online Only: You’ve got to apply online through the Department of Forests and Wildlife’s website.
- Plan Ahead: Try to apply about 3 months before you want to start. Make sure to mention when you want your internship to begin.
- Your Interests: Be clear about what area you want to work in. You can pick up to three different areas.
- Statement of Purpose (SoP): Write up an SoP of no more than 1000 words. This should cover why you’re interested in this field, how your skills fit the area you’ve chosen, and what you think you can bring to the table.
- Final Topic and Domain: The Research Advisory Committee will decide the final topic and domain of your internship, based on what the Department needs.
- Qualification Documents: You’ll need to show proof of your qualifications and/or your enrollment in an educational institute. If you have extra skills, bring documents to prove that too.
- Letter of Approval: When you get selected, bring a letter from your Supervisor/Head of Department/Principal. It should confirm your student status and give a “No Objection” clearance for you to do the internship.
- Incomplete = Rejected: If your application isn’t complete or doesn’t meet the criteria, it’ll be rejected. Make sure you’ve got everything!
- No Repeat Interns: If you’ve already done this internship before, you can’t apply again.
